Imagica EMS Launches Shinjuku Animation Studio to Support the Evolving Needs of Anime Production
Tokyo, Japan — [March 23, 2026] — Imagica Entertainment Media Services, Inc. (“Imagica EMS”) today announced the completion and opening of its new, state-of-the-art studio in Nishi-Shinjuku, purpose-built to support the evolving needs of anime production.
Named Shinjuku Animation Studio, the facility represents a significant milestone in Imagica EMS’s end-to-end (E2E) strategy, further strengthening its ability to provide a fully integrated suite of services spanning production, post-production, and distribution. At the same time, the studio embodies the company’s recent commitment to expanding its sound production capabilities, complementing its long-established strengths in picture and video services.
The studio features three recording rooms capable of accommodating up to 20 voice talents simultaneously, including one room equipped with 5.1-channel surround sound. In addition, the facility includes two offline and two online editing suites. This integrated environment enables seamless collaboration between picture editorial and original voice recording—an approach well-suited to the demands of anime production workflows.
By bringing together key production processes under one roof, Shinjuku Animation Studio enables greater efficiency and creative alignment across picture and sound. The facility is also designed to connect smoothly with downstream processes such as global distribution and localization, supporting the international reach of Japanese anime.
Conveniently located in the Shinjuku area for both production companies and voice talent, the studio is built and operated in accordance with stringent security standards that meet the requirements of major film studios and global streaming platforms.
