Imagica EMS will co-host a technical seminar on ACES with SMPTE

Imagica Entertainment Media Services, Inc. (Imagica EMS) is pleased to announce that we will co-host a technical seminar on ACES with Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) along with SMPTE Technical Committee Meetings (TC Meetings), which will be held in Japan from June 2nd, 2025, for the first time in six years.

SMPTE is a standardization organization of North American bases with strong influence on the entertainment media industry, which has formulated various standards for motion picture and television technology.TC meetings have been held four times in a year, and the discussion will occur in the Face to Face and remote.

Along with the upcoming TC Meetings, we will also co-host a technical seminar on ACES with SMPTE on Monday, June 2nd.

ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) is a global standard for interchanging digital image files, managing color workflows and creating masters for delivery and archiving.
The seminar will feature a presentation by Raymond Yeung, SMPTE's Standards Vice President and Head of Tech Standards at Amazon MGM Studios. Additionally, Tomohiro Hasegawa, our company's Color Imaging Engineer, will report on the construction, verification, and practical application of color management frameworks.

We will continue to contribute to the further technological advancement of the entertainment media industry by disseminating and sharing information on the latest technologies and initiatives.
